It isn't a stretch to say that many of the puzzles in Lorelei And The Laser Eyes come in batches. The numbered rooms, however, feel connected to multiple puzzles. It feels like a huge part of the game is just figuring out how to get the keys to these mysterious rooms. And that isn't even talking about the puzzle box room, which could potentially elude you long into the game.

Where Do I Find The Keys To The Numbered Rooms?

In order to get the keys for the numbered doors, you'll need to unlock both red mazes. That means assembling the broken key you found in the backyard to open Room 1847 as well as the door on the west end of the hotel which will take you to the "Mirror Room".

As we said, getting into Room 1847 simply requires you to assemble the key you found on the dead woman's body. The key will assemble to form the date 1847. As for the Mirror Room, you simply need to view Lorenzo through the security camera monitor found in the gatehouse, and then check the hat he leaves on the nearby bench to get a card, and view the old woman painting from the security monitor in the Reception Area. Combine the symbols on the card with the symbols on the canvas to get the password for the Mirror Room door.

Once you have access to both Red Mazes, enter the Red Maze in Room 1847. Here you will be able to collect stone tablets. Each tablet you collect will shatter a mirror in the other maze. So, use the map of the maze you can find pinned on the wall of 2014 to navigate all nine areas and collect all nine tablets. Then, work your way through the first floor Mirror Room Red Maze. Use the map to navigate to the diamonds. These will all hold shattered windows with women who will give you the numbered keys.

You will need to answer a number of questions from members of the order. You can use this guide to help you do so.

Where To Find The Puzzle Boxes

So, you have all the keys now, and you can enter into rooms with a bunch of puzzles, but what do you do with them? Well, each puzzle has a corresponding puzzle box. The puzzle boxes are found in the room next to the NOME exhibit. Thankfully, this puzzle is pretty easy to solve. Look at the letter present on the statue. Based on what you see you are going to enter the name "Lorenzo", "Renzo", "Renet", or "Lorelei".

Once inside the room with the puzzle boxes you can figure out which box goes to which room by consulting your photographic memory bank. In the Patterns & inscriptions section, you should see the pattern for every door you have encountered. The pattern on the door will match the pattern of the puzzle box.

Room 1932

Start by drawing the shapes you see in the room. Now, look through the camera lens at any given shape. Once you have the shape centered, stop looking through the lens and return to the room view. You will be able to see a number on the camera. Ignore any shapes that show multiple numbers, and find the shapes that are associated with 1, 9, 3, and 2. Once you have found them, head back to the puzzle box room and push the buttons associated with those shapes in that order.

Room 1938

This is probably the trickiest one of the bunch. When you enter the room, you'll find a camera aiming at a variety of differently sized numbers and pictures of squares hanging on the walls. You can zoom in and out with the camera. Frame the numbers 1, 9, 3, and 8. Then, find the image of the square around the room that fits that frame perfectly. Mark the position of each cube associated with those numbers and then input them in the order of the date into the puzzle box.

Room 1948

The only numbers you need to concern yourself with are 1, 9, 4, and 8. Put those reels into the projector and track what direction they are spinning. Now, head back to the puzzle box room and input the direction for each number in that order. The puzzle box has two crosses, think of them like d-pads on your controller. If the 1 was rotating toward you vertically in the left box, that would be down on the left d-pad.

Room 1953

This room has ten busts arranged in a semicircle. There's also a TV which has an image of a bust and a number. Each bust has an arrow associated with it. That arrow represents the angle of the camera. Find the busts associated with 1, 9, 5, and 3, then find each statue that is associated with that image, and finally, mark where they were in the room (a notepad is really helpful here). On the puzzle box press the buttons associated with those numbers in order.

Room 1957

In this room you'll see that there are pictures located in a crude semicircle. Just view an image from the camera lens, then, aim the camera up at the ceiling. The pictures on the wall form the bottom half of the numbers, the pictures on the ceiling form the top half. Find 1, 9, 5, and 7, mark their relative positions, and then input them into the puzzle box.

Room 1960

Easy peasy! This room has two rows of pedestals with abstract structures. Just pick up the camera, face a pedestal, and the sculpture will become a number. Mark down the position of 1, 9, 6, and 0. Input that sequence into the puzzle box in the order of the date.

Room 1962

In this room, you'll find numbers on pedestals, and shapes on pedestals most of which will be on the other side of a window). Pick up the camera and align yourself with the numbers 1, 9, 6, and 2. Make sure you are oriented with the base of the numbers, and then see what shapes they are aligned with. Take distance into consideration as well. If two numbers are aligned with two shapes, then the most distant number will align with the most distant shape. Mark the position of each shape and then input them into the puzzle box.

In our game the "9" was pulling double duty and was also acting as a "6".

Room 1973

There is a camera in the room, and when looking through the lens you'll see a giant red splash of paint. Align this paint stroke with the shapes to create 1, 9, 7, and 3. Mark the position of each number and then input them in that order into the puzzle box.

Room 1982

Turn the television on and you will see numbers circling a TV. Mark the positions of these numbers (like on a clock). The screen of the TV should be facing south. Now, once you have located where 1, 9, 8, and 2 are in relation to the TV they circle, input the numbers in that order into the puzzle box.
