Spencer Nielsen Far From Home gets better as it goes on, and features the best villain in one of these since Spider-Man 2, but the cracks at the foundation for this iteration of the Spider-Man franchise are visible. Even if the central theme of truth-versus-deception is compelling, the focus on character that elevated Homecoming is less clear, and the ensemble seems to be settling into autopilot.
